The sweeping vistas from the top of Ring Mountain are some of the best in the Bay Area, but its geology is just as intriguing.
Enormous, petroglyph-sprinkled boulders line the mountain’s slopes, and the serpentine soil nurtures wildflower displays in spring and plants found nowhere else.
