3429 acre Park managed by: Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Dept.

Hike, camp, or picnic among redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Sanborn County Park, nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, offers hiking, camping, and picnicking in the shade of the redwood forest. Hikers can spend as little or as much time as they want, taking the one-mile nature trail or longer hikes exploring this shady park. There are reservable as well as drop-in picnic areas and a campground offering walk-in tent sites as well as RV campsites with hook-ups (camping is by reservation). On summer evenings, the Shady Shakespeare Theater Company (shadyshakes.org) presents two plays in repertory in the park. The Sanborn Science and Nature Center within the park offers displays as well as family programs.
