2536 acre Park managed by: California Department of Parks and Recreation
Sheltered from ocean winds by the Inverness Ridge, the beaches of Tomales Bay State Park are great for bird-watching, picnicking, or just relaxing.
The park, adjacent to Point Reyes National Seashore, is home to a remarkable stand of old-growth Bishop pines. HIking trails traverse the gently sloping wooded hillsides and connect four beaches on the west side of Tomales Bay.
