Briones Regional Park
Briones Regional Park’s six thousand acres of grassy hills and secluded, shady canyons offer a wilderness getaway in Contra Costa County. The park's amenities include a number of picnic sites, three group camping areas, and an archery range, as well as opportunities to see dozens of species of birds, mammals, amphibians, and wildflowers on its many miles of trails. Panoramic views from the park’s highest point, 1480-foot Briones Peak, take in Mount Diablo and the Diablo Valley to the east, the Sacramento River to the north, and the Berkeley Hills and Mt.
