The San Francisco Museum and Historical Society conducts programs and special events, such as history walks, the Barbary Coast Trail, and an annual celebration of San Francisco culture. The society produces two publications: The Argonaut, featuring photographs and in-depth reviews of San Francisco history; and Panorama, a newsletter with upcoming programs and events. The society is leading the effort to create a museum in San Francisco’s Old Mint.
