Overview

The daunting cliffs and ridged coastline make for some epic views on the Bodega Bay Head Trail. About five miles from the town of Bodega, the hiking trails out on the Bay Head cut through a field of tall grasses and strewn boulders, toeing the cliff sides and providing excellent views of the rocky coves down below. Here the water and sky stretch until they meet on the horizon in sweeping panoramas.

The location is also prime for whale-spotting, especially during the spring! Gray whale migration routes pass close to the shore, and they often to emerge for their next breath of air.

The hiking trails set out from Horseshoe Cove Overlook and ascend into expansive bay head. If you want to breath in the sea breeze on your next hike, look no further!
