You won’t want to miss the 1st year of Diablo’s first mountain Biking event! We’re hosting a dual distance mountain biking event at Castle Rock Park in Walnut Creek.  300 riders are expected to compete in the 7 mile and 9.5 mile lap distances. Prizes are awarded at the post event expo with snack and beverages for all.  All proceeds benefit Save Mount Diablo’s landconservation efforts.

Thanks to the National Interscholastic Cycling Association and its local chapter NorCal for creating a course that is challenging yet safe for riders of all experience levels. Local high school students such as San Ramon Valley High School’s Mountain Biking Club will have a key role in helping to put on the event. This new event wouldn’t be possible without them, our volunteers, park rangers, and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s department.
