This is a great opportunity to introduce your kids to the wonders of the plants and animals on the watershed. We will have a station at the top of Lake Lagunitas dam where you and your kids can pick up a family activity book and start having fun! Complete more than three activities to win a prize!
- Play Lagunitas Bingo and stroll around the lake looking for lizards, newts, ferns and firs.
- Play Meet A Tree and learn to identify a tree blind-folded!
- Spot native vs. non-native turtles and color your own turtle picture.
- Other activities include Hula Hoop Plant Diversity and A Flutter of Raptor Wings.
Children of all ages are welcome!
MMWD and the California Academy of Sciences are hosting this special family day to introduce youth to the growing field of citizen science – the study of nature by the people who live in it, which is everyone!
Registration and parking passes available online.
