A virtual tour of the Bay Area’s Seafloor

Ever wonder what the ocean bed would look like in and around the San Francisco Bay Area sans water? The USGS put together a virtual flyover showing the folded bedrock, fault scarps and ripple scour depressions of the sea floor. The seafloor depth is colored with reds and oranges representing shallower regions and dark blues and purples representing deeper regions.
