The Tuolumne River Trust released footage of the recent Rim Fire that burned through the Tuolumne River watershed. The group is now calling on Congress to pony up funding for a restoration effort to control erosion runoff into the river as the winter rainy season gets underway. The fire burned through precious wildlife habitat and 40 miles of wild and scenic Tuolumne River corridor.

Why not just leave nature to take its course, the land is already protected, the money could be better spent in a conservation project.
