An underwater camera captures footage of steelhead salmon spawning in San Francisquito Creek in Palo Alto. The video footage comes from Beyond Searsville Dam, a group seeking the removal of Stanford University’s Searsville Dam in order to allow steelhead to return to headwaters to spawn.

Thanks Bay Nature for covering this. This creek has the best potential in the South Bay for restoring an unchannelized, undammed, stream that can be a model for the rest of the Bay. Stanford’s dam is the only thing holding back this future.
Stanford, please do the right thing! Remove the dam and upgrade your private water system.
