DESCRIPTION:A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. At a BioBlitz\, scientists\, families\, students\, teachers\, and other community members work together to get an overall count of the plants\, animals\, fungi\, and other organisms that live in a place. \nLocated in the heart of San Jose\, the park we will be at is a safe haven for many species of plants and animals right along Coyote Creek. Join Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful and partners in cataloging and documenting all of the wildlife that reside there. We will have experts in various fields to help guide participants through all the cool plants and wildlife. \nThe best part? All you need to participate is a smart phone with the iNaturalist app! \nSo bring your family and prepare for an in-depth tour of this great park. \nCommunity service hours available

DESCRIPTION:Come out to the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge for a few hours to restore wildlife habitat. While you are removing invasive vegetation\, planting new plants\, or laying down mulch\, you’ll get to enjoy fresh Bay air\, see lots of birds\, and learn from restoration experts about why this work is so important. \nCommunity service hours available. \nDue to access restrictions to the restoration site\, please arrive on time and plan to stay for the entire event. \nREQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE: \n*Must acknowledge that you are 12+ years of age and you are here on your own time\, if you are 12-17 years of age that you will have an adult responsible for you during the entire event. \n*If you feel ill on the day of the event\, you agree that you will not attend.
