Heron Watch Starts in the Spring
On six Saturdays in April and May, San Francisco Heron Watch volunteers will show the Great Blue Herons and their chicks to the public using high-powered spotting scopes. Volunteers and interns will explain the birds’ behaviors and answer questions. There will be a separate section for children taught by interns.
The program is located at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park. See map with Observation Site.
