Join Docent Naturalists Susan Bernhard, Noa Doitel, Maureen Draper, and Lina Mesa on autumn-scented Canyon Trail for a moderately-paced hike (4 miles). You’ll learn what plants and trees have to teach about surviving heat and drought. You’ll see cones, buckeyes nuts and acorns as well as the fruits and berries of the harvest season. You’ll hear and smell the crunch of bay leaves underfoot. As you walk along Steven’s Creek Nature Trail you’ll explore the connectedness of life to the water cycle.
