Many of us walk around San Francisco not realizing that the plants we see come from all over the world and are often grown and admired in greenhouses and conservatories in other parts of the country. Zena Kolbe-Saltzman will lead us up two picturesque staircases above the Castro to identify the different plants we see, explain their origins, and tell how they are impacting our urban environment.
