Canceled – Astronomy lecture: Chabot Space & Science Center – Then and Now

March 24, 2020 @ 7:15 pm - 9:00 pm

| Free

Sorry, this event has been canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus situation.

Please join the Mt. Diablo Astronomical Society on March 24 for our general meeting featuring Benjamin Burress, Chabot Staff Astronomer, who will discuss the past and present of Chabot Space & Science Center, whose current iteration turns 20 this year. Burress also will give an overview of current student and public offerings at the Center.
The meeting starts at 7:15 p.m. with a short “What’s Up” presented by MDAS member Chuck Waitman, who will take us on a tour of the 10 first-magnitude stars in the March/April evening sky and a few interesting facts about each one. Our monthly meetings are held at the Lindsay Wildlife Experience, Community Room, 1931 First Avenue, Walnut Creek, CA 94597.
