Learn how public & private funding helped create beautiful Bay Area public spaces with Presidio Trust leader Michael Boland & Bay Nature’s Editor in Chief Victoria Schlesinger.
Join us on a 1-mile walking tour of the three park projects recently completed upon the redesign of the Presidio Parkway at San Francisco’s northern waterfront. Battery Bluff, Presidio Tunnel Tops, Quartermaster Reach Marsh, and the coming Outpost Meadow are all fascinating examples of how the Presidio Trust is funding and creating new urban parkland in the 21st century. These sites provide visitor benefits and environmental improvements, from increasing native habitat and biodiversity to diverting storm water and harmful run-off into the Bay.
This is the second Bay Nature Hike connecting public and private funding with local impact.
