Be a Force of Nature!

Friday, January 21

WildCare is looking to recruit Terwilliger Nature Guide Volunteers to lead guided discovery walks for elementary school children in beautiful natural areas with the goal of educating elementary school children about nature and how to live well with wildlife!

Terwilliger Nature Guides commit to leading three hikes per month on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm starting in April 2022 for small groups of 5 to 8 elementary school students at accessible trails at Ring Mountain Open Space Preserve, China Camp State Park, and/or Muir Woods.

If your application is accepted, you will receive comprehensive naturalist training from February to March, and the tools you need to instill a love of nature and wildlife in children from all across the Bay Area, as well as access to an unparalleled network of resources and nature educators.

Interested in learning more and applying? Go to our website at discoverwildcare.org/volunteer/nature-guide-volunteers/ to learn more details or apply now by going to bit.ly/NatureGuideApp.

Deadlines:

February 5th orientation: apply by Monday, January 31st

Please be aware that you must complete an application in order to be invited to one of the two orientation dates. No drop-ins please.
