Get an early start at Howe-Homestead Park, the little gem of a park in Walnut Creek, and follow the Kovar Trail into Shell Ridge Open Space, where you’ll watch the morning become day. The hike transitions from a narrow green corridor in the suburbs to the expanses of Mt Diablo foothills.
This lollipop hike is about three miles long with mostly gentle grades.
It is limited to 30 participants; registration starts on May 8 at 10 AM.
