Birding the Redwood Forest by Ear-Sunday Session

Sunday, June 5 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

| $25.00

Saturday’s class filled up so fast, we had to add another class! Join us on SUNDAY MORNING, JUNE 5TH with Teresa and Miles Tuffli (I’m Birding Right Now) for a 2-hour meander through the redwood forest floor, where we’ll listen closely and soak up Spring’s morning birdsong. Whether you’re eager to learn how to identify the birds vocalizing or you’re simply interested in taking in nature’s wonderful soundscape, this walk is for you! Miles and Teresa will help point out, identify, and discuss the songs and calls of the birds who make Armstrong Redwoods their home.
We’ll meet at the Armstrong Redwoods Visitor Center and walk slowly and quietly around the forest floor trails, stopping frequently to listen closely. Of course, when any birds make themselves visible we’ll look at them, too!
Bring binoculars, layers (as spring mornings in Armstrong Redwoods are often quite cool), and your open ears.
$25 for non-members and $20 for Stewards members. Cost of the class includes the parking fee inside Armstrong. This one day parking pass is good all day, and at all CA state parks!
