Join for California’s 38th annual Coastal Cleanup Day!
Coastal Cleanup Day is an international day of action to protect our oceans, watersheds, and wildlife from trash and debris. This massive volunteering effort has had an astounding impact on many of our local natural habitats and communities.
Volunteers will participate in a litter pickup along the creek trail and beautify the trail starting from the Castro Valley Library to Castro Valley Creek Boulevard. Trash from inland areas flows downstream to the coast and into the ocean. Cleaning upstream riparian areas helps prevent garbage from entering the ocean, protecting birds and other marine animals while beautifying the environment.
