Join for California’s 38th annual Coastal Cleanup Day!
Coastal Cleanup Day is an international day of action to protect our oceans, watersheds, and wildlife from trash and debris. This massive volunteering effort has had an astounding impact on many of our local natural habitats and communities.
After the cleanup, have your lunch at the picnic tables or on the beach, then join in anytime for sand globe instruction and collective creativity. Sand globe making is spreading over the earth through the project Sand Globes Worldwide. At this event, environmental artist Zach Pine will teach everyone to make sand globes. Then, as in all his collaborative create-with-nature events, you’ll make a spontaneously evolving art installation on the beach.
