2021 marks the 26th anniversary of Oakland Creek to Bay Day, held in conjunction with California and International Coastal Cleanup Day, typically the largest organized volunteer day in California and the world. In a typical year, on the third Saturday in September thousands of volunteers remove litter from waterways and shorelines, as well as upstream areas across California, the nation, and in about 100 participating countries.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, we will not be supporting large gatherings of groups like on other Creek to Bay/California/International Coastal Cleanup events. Neighborhood groups, individuals and households can be a part of this 26th anniversary event by pitching in to clean up, as well as pledging and committing to actions from our homes to protect watersheds.
Join us for a Creek to Bay month of watershed cleanup, education, and commitment to practices to keep our city and water clean, from creek to bay every day in September and beyond!
