Digital Science Saturday — Bats, Spiders, and Snakes, Oh My!

October 31, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

| Free

Join us as we crawl and slither into the world of bats, spiders, and snakes. Learn more about bats from NorCalBats, a bat rescue dedicated to the rehabilitation and release of bats and public education of these incredible flying mammals. Discover local tarantulas and spiders as a Carmel teacher gives us a closer look at his live collection. We’ll also be joined by Slithering Science‘s live snakes and other reptiles as they join us for our DSS Live at 3PM. Learn about these amazing animals and their importance in our ecosystem. Also be ready for a messy pumpkin craft!

Erin Teeters is the owner of Slithering Science, a local reptile education service. She loves sharing her passion for reptiles and amphibians, with both kids and adults, through presentations, programs, online classes, and a curriculum that she is currently developing. Erin is working hard to show another side to these often misunderstood animals. These programs feature many, unique, live reptiles with fascinating adaptations. She has a master’s degree in biology and absolutely loves seeing people get excited about science!
