EL CORTE DE MADERA CREEK PRESERVE: WILDLIFE, WATERSHED AND REDWOOD RESILIENCE

Meet in Saratoga for bus transport, details will be provided after registration.

Midpen’s El Corte de Madera Creek Preserve is located in the upper headwaters of the San Gregorio Creek Watershed and is a great spot to view redwoods. An expert from Save the Redwoods League will join this walk. On the one-way journey downhill from Skyline Boulevard, learn about the history of this park, the ancient redwoods, the watershed protection program, the wildlife that thrives around the preserve’s creeks and the geology of the area. The walk will end with a social picnic lunch.

Bus transportation meeting location: Saratoga. Detailed meeting location will be provided after confirmation of registration.

Preserve visitors should wear masks outdoors when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

Adults age 50+: Join us for educational and social walks on Midpen’s open space preserves in partnership with Bay Area Older Adults!  Picnic lunch is included.
