Geology: Moving Mountains

Saturday, November 12 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

| Free

On this moderately-paced hike (app. 5 miles) with Docent Naturalists Rae Collins and Liza Coe you’ll walk along the San Andreas Fault and learn how its movement builds the landscape around you. You’ll also discover an outcrop of rock that was once on the bottom of an ancient tropical ocean. The remarkable view from Black Mountain will reveal the entire story of the fault system at work in the Bay Area.
