Saturday, March 14 9:00 a.m. to noon
Fire suppression, Sudden Oak Death, and other large-scale changes threaten the Mt. Tam watershed’s oak woodlands, grasslands, and the plants and animals that depend on them to survive. Much work is underway on Bon Tempe’s lakeshore to restore oak woodland habitat. By removing French broom we can increase the diversity of valuable plant and animal life on the watershed. Meeting location is Lake Lagunitas parking lot. RSVP’s to volunteerprogram@marinwater.org or 415-945-1128 are encouraged, but not required for this event.
Family friendly. Minors under the age of 16 must have a guardian present. Those ages 16-18 must have permission from a guardian. Please bring a water bottle, closed toe shoes and clothes for variable weather. Bring your lunch. We will provide tools, breakfast snacks and water!
