Third Saturday Nature Walk at Edgewood Natural Preserve: Habitats from the Ground Up
Discover how the geology and topology of Edgewood Park determine plant communities above ground, and the creatures that inhabit them.
Wonder why some plants grow happily in one spot but can’t be found around the next bend in the
trail, or why that hill has just a single oak tree?
Come join this docent-led hike and uncover the insight of the underground!
Pace & Terrain: This leisurely 3 mile hike traverses gentle hills and lasts 3 hours.
Bring: Water, a hat, sturdy shoes and sunscreen as applicable.
Restrooms and water: Available only near the main entrance.
Dogs: Dogs are not allowed in Edgewood Park.
