Help Restore the Berkeley Bay Shore

Sunday, March 18 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

| Free

Help nature in McLaughlin Eastshore State Park on a hidden beach not yet open to the public.
Join Friends of Five Creeks volunteers in light, fun, but important control of invasives at “Brickyard Cove,” south of University Avenue in McLaughlin Eastshore State Park — a lovely beach and important bird habitat not scheduled to open to the public until 2019. Meet at the gate at the south end of Sea Breeze Deli parking lot, just west of I-80, near the touchdown of the pedestrian-bicycle bridge over the freeway. Easy by AC Transit 81 or 51B. Map here. Tools, gloves, snacks, water, and good company provided. Dress in layers for unpredictable weather; wear closed-toed shoes with good traction. Info: f5creeks@gmail.com. Groups of more than 5 please RSVP; otherwise, just show up.
