Enjoy a moderately-paced hike (appr. 5 miles) to explore the lower to central sections of La Honda Creek Preserve. You’ll walk along the Harrington Creek Trail and, with Docent Naturalists Stephen Buckhout, Roberta and Jaime Cavazos, have access to a closed central section of the preserve. Learn about coastal grasslands and how conservation grazing supports the management and recovery of endangered, threatened, and special-status species that need this grassland habitat. You’ll also get to experience the La Honda Creek, a shaded redwood forest, a pond, and have opportunities to spot a diversity of birds and other wildlife.
