In-Person: Friends of the Oak Woodlands volunteer event

October 10, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

| Free
We are back on our regular second Saturday schedule!
Please join us Saturday, Oct 10 at 9:30 AM as we continue our preparation for our new Community Challenge Grand-funded Oak Woodlands habitat restoration project.

We will meet at the Horseshoe Courts entrance, up the stone steps from East Conservatory Drive, starting at 9:30 am.

We will proceed even given the weather prediction at this time for possible “showers”.

A variety of tasks will make the required social distancing practical:

•Moving mulch from dumpsite to restoration staging site w mechanized assistance from RPD.
•Begin grubbing/clearing of the CCG restoration site and gathering several scavenged 6-8″ diameter logs.
•Finish preliminary spreading of mulch at the base of sites
•Watering recent plantings
•A variety of tasks suitable for all levels of physical ability!
We ask that you bring a mask and your own work gloves. We will supply tools, snacks, water, and sanitizing materials.

Please use this link sign the online waiver form mandated by SFRPD’ s Volunteer Department: https://bit.ly/sfrpdvolunteerwaiver

Please RSVP to confirm your participation so that we can stage adequate tools and supplies.
