CNPS is partnering with SF Public Works, Bureau of Urban Forestry and Landscape Architecture, and Climate Action Now California (CAN!) to plant two pilot demonstration blocks of coastal scrub habitat between Santiago and Taraval (@36th and @37th Avenues) along Sunset Boulevard.
The goal is to build habitat and promote biodiversity with local native plants, which will support local pollinators and wildlife in a corridor that connects Lake Merced and Golden Gate Park.
We will be planting trees with CAN! on Tuesdays and Fridays through the end of November. You can sign up here for a time slot:  http://climateactionnowcalifornia.org/volunteer
We will also be planting coastal scrub and wildflower meadows on Saturdays starting October 31 through December 12.
Email CNPS at yerba.buena.cnps.chapter@gmail.com if you are interested and we will send you more information.
