In-Person: Join us for a day of community science and outdoor camaraderie at the Great Yolo Causeway Post-pup Bat Count!

August 29, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 pm

Each year since 2018, we have counted the bats under the I-80 freeway bridge near Davis and Sacramento. This colony is one of the largest known bat colonies in California. Data from these counts will contribute to our knowledge of population, bridge habitat use and bat survey methods. This year’s event occurs during International Bat Weekend!

Sign up for the post-pup count:

Should your schedules allow, we will look forward to seeing you on August 29th!

Our sincere thanks,
The Yolo Bat Count Organizing Team

Notes:
1. Our permission to proceed with this event depends on the public health situation. Thus, if county or state guidance changes, we may need to alter or cancel the event. We will, of course, keep participants in the loop should anything change. Thank you for your flexibility!

2. Have questions about the count? You’ll find lots of information on the sign up site. We’d be glad to answer additional questions by email, though please accept our apologies in advance for any slow replies due to summer field and travel schedules.
