Introduction to Hiking and Exploring Santa Clara’s Parks

Tuesday, March 28 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Learn how to explore Santa Clara’s parks with Bay Area Wilderness Training (BAWT). Their experts will showcase different types of outdoor gear and helpful trip-planning tips. BAWT will help you learn what you need to be safe and comfortable on your next hiking or camping excursion at local Santa Clara County parks. This program will also include demos of equipment, including items you can borrow from our Library’s collection (hiking poles and bear canisters). BAWT will also share ways you can find outdoor gear in the Bay Area for a free or low cost. Getting outdoors doesn’t have to be expensive or require a lot of fancy equipment!

All ages are welcome to attend. Registering is not required (first come, first serve), but if you would like to receive reminder emails, feel free to sign up.
