Joel Sartore—the world-renowned wildlife photographer and founder of the National Geographic Photo Ark project—shares his unique work at a benefit for The Lawrence Hall of Science.

This in-person event will feature:

• A talk from Joel Sartore, who will discuss his undertaking of a multiyear effort to document, through photography, every species under human care in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries
• The first public opportunity to preview our new Robert and Elizabeth Karplus Outdoor Nature Lab, with its spectacular view of the Golden Gate and San Francisco Bay
• A reception including light refreshments and appetizers, served outdoors
• The unveiling of a new permanent photographic exhibit at The Lawrence, created by Dr. Paul Bartlett, featuring images from the National Geographic Photo Ark
• An opportunity to support The Lawrence’s Animal Discovery Zone
• Treats and coffee at sunset on the Outdoor Nature Lab lawn, following the talk
