Join Friends of China Camp State Park in our continuing project to rebuild the tread on Shoreline Trail to make it safer and to comply with the State Park standards. This will involve a variety of tasks, some being more strenuous than others, and the choice is yours. There’s something for everyone!
Volunteers 16 and older are welcome to join us. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
This event is held in partnership with the California State Parks Foundation (CSPF). Please register on their website. Your registration helps us plan for equipment, supplies and of course, food. The “festivities” are on November 9 from 9am to 3pm. Lunch is included. CSPF will contact all registrants with information about where to meet, what to wear, and what to bring (in addition to your smiles and can-do attitude).
Free camping is available Friday and Saturday nights, November 8th and 9th. Space is limited to registered volunteers. To reserve your camping spot, email parkchampions@calparks.
During our last work event we restored almost 400 feet of trail. We are hoping to do 430 feet during this upcoming event. The challenge is on. Join us and be part of the team that will help us reach our goal. We promise you’ll be amazed at what volunteers can accomplish.
