Join us for a CLT Webinar Series, featuring the marine mammals of the Central California coast, presented by Dr. Dan Costa, director of the Institute of Marine Sciences and Distinguished Professor at UC Santa Cruz. Dan Costa is an internationally recognized expert on the physiology, ecology, and behavior of marine mammals. He will be sharing an overview of the natural history of the most common marine mammals that might be seen in Central California and how technological advances have allowed us to study animals that spend their lives at sea. He will provide an overview of how a changing climate might affect marine mammals, and share his research on the biology and ecology of the Northern Elephant Seal.
