Native Bees of the Bay Area with Obi Kaufmann & POST

May 26, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

| Free

Did you know that there are 150 species of native bees in the Bay Area? Join Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) for a fun chat with artist and writer Obi Kaufmann on Facebook Live, as we share about some of our favorites! He’ll be joined by POST’s Director of Conservation of Science Peter Cowan to discuss the important role that native bees play in our local ecosystems and some surprising facts about other native pollinators in our area. This interview is a followup to a new POST blog written and illustrated by Obi, author of California best-selling books “The California Field Atlas” and “The State of Water.” Don’t miss this fun opportunity to talk shop about nature, art, and science with two incredible local experts!
