Join Grassroots Ecology in our ongoing restoration of the native plant meadow at McClellan Ranch Preserve in Cupertino!
Springtime activities include sheet mulching our future planting areas and removing invasive weeds. Volunteers should expect to kneel, dig with small hand tools, and move mulch with buckets, all while learning about conservation and California ecology. Rain or shine!
Visit Grassroots Ecology’s McClellan Ranch Preserve page to learn more about the ecosystem and accessibility considerations.
Grassroots Ecology encourages people from all identities and backgrounds to participate in its programs. Many programs are outdoors and involve moving and working in various landscapes. If you have accessibility concerns (e.g. allergies, limited mobility, learning differences), the projects are flexible and Grassroots Ecology is happy to work with you. Please reach out to the workday facilitator to prepare for your participation.
