Pond Farm Docent Training

Arts oriented? Interested in local history and culture? Consider becoming a docent for Pond Farm Pottery, a significant cultural site in Sonoma County listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located in Austin Creek State Recreational area and operated by Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods, Pond Farm Pottery is seeking volunteers to provide interpretive tours of the home, school, and studio of Bauhaus-trained master ceramicist Marguerite Wildenhain.

This training will provide background knowledge and skills needed to guide visitors around the Pond Farm site. Participants will leave with a docent packet including a tour outline, informational pamphlets, and a bibliography of additional resources.
