Join Greenbelt Alliance for a dog-friendly saunter in the Marin Headlands!
Our hike takes us along the beautiful Lagoon Trail to the sea, where we will traverse the length of Rodeo Beach at low tide. Along the way, we’ll view world famous (at least to geologists) outcrops of Franciscan rocks, and learn how sea level rise will impact the coastal environment and Bay Area. Everyone is welcome (dogs optional).
This is a fairly easy 2-mile hike both on a trail and beach with sand and gravel. We’ll assemble at the parking lot for the Marin Headland Visitor Center. Restrooms and water are available at the trailhead.
Bring snacks, water, hiking poles (if you normally use them), and a leash (if bringing a dog); wear layers and good hiking shoes. If you have any questions about this outing, contact Ken Lavin at email@example.com or 415-543-6771 x321.
