Introduced in the 1970’s Coyote Creek Parkway is one of the coolest and most overlooked natural areas in our county. Not only the gateway to Coyote Valley but a wonderful foresight and vision of the old San Jose Redevelopment Agency who knew Santa Clara County would grow and open space and recreational areas would shrink.
Come enjoy a gentle stroll along this flat all paved meandering trail. Mostly shaded by the native oaks it’s a great place to escape and enjoy the wonders of nature together.
Be sure to bring water and a hat. Sandwiches are provided for free. There is no cost to park.
Directions: Traveling on Hwy 101 south exit Bernal Rd and make a right. Stay to your right to go onto Monterey Rd. Make a left onto Monterey Rd. and drive down to Metcalf Rd. where you will make a u-turn and park on the right hand side in the gravel parking lot next to the lake.
