Signs of Winter: Pulgas Ridge Preserve

January 18, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Enjoy a morning hike with docent naturalists Liz Foreman and Lindsay Joye to explore for signs that winter has arrived. Watch for dusky-footed woodrat nests and trees displaying berries and nuts along the Blue Oak and Dick Bishop Trails. You’ll climb hills with elevation gain of over 600 feet to take in ridgetop views on this moderately-paced round trip outing. Reservations are required and will be accepted on or after January 4 and close January 17 at 2:00 p.m.

Where to Meet

Meet at the preserve parking lot on Edmonds Rd. From I-280, exit Edgewood Road.  Drive 0.75 miles on Edgewood Rd. toward San Carlos/Redwood City. Turn left (north) on Crestview Drive, then immediately turn left on Edmonds Road. Follow Edmonds Rd. to the preserve parking lot entrance on the right.

Note: Regardless of vaccination status, all activity participants will be required to wear a mask when physical distancing cannot be maintained. Please review the additional COVID-19 safety protocols provided when you register for an activity.
