Springtime Wildflower Walks

Edgewood’s serpentine grasslands are renowned throughout California for their lush wildflower carpets and rich biodiversity. You might see dozens of species of flowers on a single walk! Our free walks vary according to what’s in bloom—covering about 3 miles, at a moderate pace, with frequent stops. Heavy rain cancels hikes.

In 2018, there will be walks every Saturday and Sunday, from March 10 through June 3. Walks begin at 10:00 AM and end around 1:00 PM.

Walks start from the Bill and Jean Lane Education Center at the main entrance off of Edgewood Road every weekend throughout the season.
