Enjoy a family-friendly starry night stargazing event at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve!
The Open Space Authority is pleased to work with the San Jose Astronomical Association (SJAA) to co-host a community star party at Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve. Just 30 minutes south of downtown San José, this preserve features night skies so dark you can see the band of our Milky Way galaxy in the summer! Telescopes will be provided along with docent astronomers to help you find amazing features in the night sky. Please do not bring your own telescope (binoculars are welcome, but please no tripods). SJAA official club members will set up their telescopes to help you get the most knowledge and enjoyment out of the truly dark starry night sky.
