Stories Of The Land: Taylor Mountain

Sunday, September 18 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

| Free

Who lived here before us? What influences have past practices had on our current landscapes? Culture is alive, thriving, and ever-changing. Join for these talks that examine the people and personalities of Sonoma County, their stories, and how their lives are tied to our most loved parks. Folks of all ages welcome.

How did Taylor Mountain get its name? What role did the homestead located on the mountain play in California history? Learn about Taylor Mountain’s gold rush roots and how the 1906 earthquake affected the property’s 40-year run as a tourist destination on this half-mile walk and lecture.

Parking is $7 or free with a Regional Parks membership.
