Description: The winter solstice arrives on Saturday, December 21. Marking the first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. This is also the shortest day
of the year.
Come out and join Friends of Edgewood docent Roger Humphrey as he leads this hike into Edgewood Park. Let’s look and see and celebrate what’s blooming in Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve on the Winter Solstice.
Pace & Terrain: This leisurely 3 mile hike traverses gentle hills and lasts 3 hours.
Bring: Water, a hat, sturdy shoes and sunscreen as applicable.
Restrooms and water: Available only near the main entrance.
Dogs: Dogs are not allowed in Edgewood Park.
Where: Edgewood County Park and Natural Preserve: Bill and Jean Lane Education Center.
