This 40+ hour course combines classroom and field experiences. Discussion topics include geology, water, weather, soils, plants, forests, wildlife, interpretation, environmental issues and citizen science. Students commit to weekly homework assignments and complete a capstone project of their choosing.
Instructors: David Berman (Sonoma County Water Agency), Meghan Walla-Murphy (Ecological Consultant) & guest lecturers (TBA)
Location: Classroom coursework will take place via Zoom and Field Trips will be scheduled in small groups in person.
Classroom dates: (11 weeks)
February 17 and 24
Field trips: 9 am to 3 pm (Saturday’s)
April 3rd and 24th
Cost: $456 for members and $570 for non-members
Payment: $190 due at registration to reserve your space, with the remaining balance due/paid by first class.
No refunds will be issued after February 15th.
