Join Bay Nature editors and readers to find birds, bees, butterflies and flowers at the Ulistac Natural Area in Santa Clara. We’ll meet a 9 a.m. at the park entrance on Lick Mill Drive, then spend three hours exploring this biodiversity hotspot on the edge of the lower Guadalupe River.
All you need is your curiosity and a camera phone with the iNaturalist app installed!
A bioblitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time. This bioblitz is part of the City Nature Challenge, a global biodiversity-finding competition sponsored by the California Academy of Sciences and Los Angeles Museum of Natural History.
