Join us on a history and mystery hike in Wildcat Canyon.
Hidden high in the East Bay hills, just up from the “road to nowhere,” lie the ruins of the Grande Vista Sanitarium. It was here that Dr. Henrik Belgum used sometimes unconventional methods to treat his patients. We’ll explore the grounds of the mysterious old sanitarium, enjoy grand views, and learn how a portion of the Wildcat Creek trail earned the moniker “road to nowhere.”
This is a moderate hike of six miles with about 550 feet in elevation change.
Free; RSVP required.
